Loice Elimana recovers from a gunshot wound in the Malakal hospital. She and her daughter were shot during a mutiny by SPLA general George Athor Deng who was upset with the election results. His mutiny was made possible by guns he had siezed during a governmental disarmnament camapaign earlier this year and he remains at large, one of many variables that could bring South Sudan back to war even if the regions succeds in becomingindependent.
